The Nursing Department of the Dublin Dental University Hospital encompasses Clinical and Education Teams. It is led by the Director of Nursing and is supported by the Nursing Administrator. It aims to provide excellent patient care and student education.
We provide undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications for dental nurses around the country.
We support the Dental Nursing profession by providing high quality dental nursing programmes and encouraging voluntary registration with our professional organisation, the Dental Council of Ireland. We pride ourselves in having staff involved with professional organisations such as the Dental Council of Ireland and the Irish Dental Nurses Association.
As a department, we continually develop our staff's education and provide training opportunities for conscious sedation, venepuncture, ACLS and special care dentistry.
We will provide Continuing Professional Development events for dental nurses in the near future.
