Confirmation / Cancellation

For some appointments you may need to confirm your attendance in advance (See your appointment notice for more information).

To confirm your appointment please phone our automated service on 01 6127384.

Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances we may be obliged to cancel appointments. In such circumstances we make every effort to contact you immediately.

If you are unable to attend for an appointment you should contact the Appointments Office at 01 612 7391 or email patient@dental.tcd.ie

We would ask that should you have to cancel a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.

You will be asked by the receptionist about your reason for cancellation.

When contacting the Hospital to cancel your appointment please ensure you have your Patient Registration Number or Patient Account number ready. This number will be issued to you on your first visit to the Hospital. This number will help the receptionist to process your cancellation more efficiently.

If you are under treatment with a dental student and need to contact them you can phone our automated messaging service on 01 6127376 and leave your name, contact number and the name of your student and we will forward your message to them.
