Congratulations to Dr Isabel C. Olegário

WINNER OF EAPD YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD 2020

Isabel C Olegario, Assistant Professor in Paediatric Dentistry at the Dublin Dental University Hospital has been awarded the 2020 EAPD Young Scientist award.  Her research project was entitled ‘Stainless steel crown versus bulk fill composites post primary molars pulpectomy: 1-year survival and acceptance results of a RCT’.

Isabel joined the DDUH staff in Sept 2019 from Brazil, where she did her dental and specialty training and obtained a PhD. Her research related to various aspects of Early Childhood Caries.  This project compared the survival rate of primary molars pulpectomies restored using stainless steel crowns (SSC) and bulk fill composite resin (BF).
