Congratulations to Michael Ryan

Congratulations to Michael Ryan, 5th year dental student, who has been announced the 2021 Leo Heslin Prize Winner.

The award is given for the best undergraduate dental literature review in the areas of Periodontology, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology

The title of Michael's essay was '‘Sentinel node biopsy is a reliable oncologic technique for staging the clinically N0 neck in patients with early squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity.’

The Leo Heslin Prize is given in Recognition of the Services of Dr. Peter Leo Heslin, BDS NUI, FDSRCS Eng, MB BCh BAO NUI, FFDRCSI, to Dentistry and, in particular, to the Faculty of Dentistry at the the RCSI.
