The team at the Dental School and Trinity Centre for Ageing and Intellectual Disability in Trinity College Dublin and Dublin Dental University Hospital are proud to announce a funded PhD studentship with stipend for a suitable candidate.

In celebration of the IADR's Centennial in 2020, the IADR Centennial Emerging Leaders Award was created to recognize young investigators who will lead the research field and the Association into the next century.

The Irish Division of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) held its annual scientific meeting on the 5th February 2021. Due to the current COIVID-19 pandemic this meeting was held virtually.

This 16 month training programme offers an opportunity to those currently employed as trainee dental nurses to achieve a formal award. Successful completion of this programme, commencing August 2021, will lead to a Diploma in Dental Nursing (Trinity College Dublin) and will permit entry onto the Voluntary Dental Council Register for Dental Nurses in Ireland.

Dublin Dental University Hospital will be accepting applications for the Certificate in Orofacial Pain until 15th December. This is a year-long, part-time programme, designed to equip general dentists and dental specialists with knowledge and skills in the areas of neuropathic orofacial pain, headache disorders and temporomandibular disorders. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will take place via Zoom on 18th December.

Congratulations to final year students Varsha Lal, Alison McCullagh, Shahd Busnaina, Saoirse Kilgarriff and Eszter Lujber who each represented Dublin Dental University Hospital and were runners-up in this years RAMI Student Research Awards.

Dublin Dental University Hospital will be accepting applications for the Clinical Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.Ch.Dent) full-time (3-year) and part-time (5-year) programmes commencing in September 2021 from 1st November until 30th November 2020 (inclusive).
